Winery Tasting Notes: “From a winemakers’ perspective, when you get fantastic fruit from a harvest like 2012, it’s important to let the grapes shine and to make sure we don’t screw it up. We also need to control our enthusiasm for the quality! Our 2012 Napa Cabernet strikes that wonderful balance of intense, dark fruit with sweet tannins and refined structure. A touch of new oak comes through on the nose with hints of vanilla, violets and warm spices. The wine is dark and rich with ripe blackcurrant, plum and dark cherry flavors, complemented by an elegant finish that will leave you wanting more.”
