“In the private back room of a grocery store on North 6th Street in St. Louis, Missouri, unbeknownst to its forefather, a legacy was born. The store’s owner, David Nicholson, created the famed ‘43’ bourbon recipe. The “1843” is a “WHEATED” – 100 Proof – Kentucky Straight Bourbon and is an exceptional value.  Let’s face it, this isn’t far from tasting like a label you know and love, but not the “throat-gulping” price tag!

The “RESERVE” is a 100 Proof “High-Rye” Kentucky Straight Bourbon which is distinctively different and brings a much different taste to the party. We purchased this bottling “sight unseen” as it was not available the day we tasted.
