~ONLY $129 (plus tax) for a 6pk!~

TOP SELLING CABERNET AT “THE FALL CLASSIC!”  ALL PASO ROBLES FRUIT!  NEW PROJECT FROM TRINCHERO FAMILY!  92 POINTS, WINE ENTHUSIAST!  BEST PRICE IN THE USA!  That’s a pretty good start!

This one is going to be short and sweet, because honestly, we know a good thing when we find it and “Iron + Sand” checks all the marks.  Iron + Sand pays homage to “Iron Spring” and “Sand Spring,” which were two of the springs that propelled Paso into a bustling destination known as “California’s oldest watering place” in the late 1800s.  Today those springs help to create world-class wine which “Wine Enthusiast” named Paso Robles “Wine Region of the Year” in 2013.

This wine offers an explosion of ripe fruits which is evident by the addition of Petit Verdot and Petite Sirah, BUT…it only carries a 14% ALC which for Paso Robles = a balanced wine!  As this is the first release, the wine is just making its way to the broad market.  With a 92 Point “Wine Enthusiast” rating set to hit in the December 2nd issue…it won’t be long before you start seeing it elsewhere.  We always try to “get the jump” on new wines when possible and at $21.50/bottle or 20% off…this is a great deal on a fantastic CAB just in time for the holidays.

WHAT DOES IT TASTE LIKE?

Dense purple in color, this wine opens with aromas of dark plums, black cherries, freshly picked blackberries and raspberries intertwined with hints of graphite and baking spices that frame this fruit-driven wine. Balanced acidity on the palate combines perfectly with rich, chocolate, bramble berry fruit flavors, velvety tannins and a lingering, mouthwatering finish.

“Wine Enthusiast” 92 Points, Cellar Selection:

“The black fruit aroma is reserved on the nose of this bottling, allowing violet, stone, loam and a hint of herbs to come to the forefront. The dry palate is cohesive in flavors of black cherry, purple flowers and soil, with a hint of black olive.”
