Wine Club Tasting Notes

I hope this is not just wishful thinking, but if business activity at Carpe Vino is any gauge, the economy appears to have finally bounced off the bottom. Wine sales were solid in January, though the restaurant segment was still soft. Things improved nicely in February, with a substantial bump from our annual “Wine Thing” sale, and an exceptionally strong showing over the Valentine’s Day weekend. We were sold out in the restaurant for three days, and we’ve seen very strong results since we returned to offering complete entrées on our new dinner menu.

The best news is for wine lovers. . .with prices continuing to drop as wineries and distributors try to move inventory, the big winner is the consumer. We’re scoring some great deals, and we’re passing the savings along to our beloved customers. When you win, we win.
