The “La Familia” Dinner was a success!

Wine Dinner Event This past Saturday will marked the biggest wine dinner we’ve ever staged at Carpe Vino, with guests packing the building for “La Familia Argentina,” our Asado style dinner featuring the wines and food of Argentina. We’re partnering with Dan Macon of Fly Mule Farms who will be grilling a lamb in the garden behind Carpe Vino.

Dinner was be served family style, on platters to be passed at each table. Guests were served a glass of Zolo Torrontes, a beautiful, dry Argentinean white wine. . .fruity and aromatic.

To start: Gaucho-style chorizo and cheese empanadas

For dinner: Argentinean Whole Lamb Asada w/ Chimmichurri Sauce

Platters: Papas bravas (crispy potatoes w/ spicy red chili sauce); summer vegetable salad w/ cumin, lime and cilantro; a third dish is coming…still waiting to see what will be available at the Farmer’s Market at time of dinner.

Dessert: Warm chocolate cake with dulce de leche.
